What to Expect

What are services like?
The atmosphere of our services is simple & casual, yet reverent, and we enjoy chatting & hanging around with refreshments before and after the service. Our people are friendly, and we will love meeting you and getting to know you. Whether you’re already a follower of Jesus, curious, or skeptical of Christianity, you are welcome in our church! Our corporate worship services are planned & ordered with a biblical philosophy of worship in mind, and we all participate together in light of these truths. We gather each Sunday morning to respond to God through Christ by the Spirit with our singing, prayers, preaching, giving of gifts, serving & caring for one another, confessing our sins, observing the ordinances (baptism & the Lord’s Supper), and more. If you’re wondering how you should dress for one of our Sunday services, don’t worry. Some of us like to dress up on Sunday mornings, and some of us would rather not. God is most interested in our hearts, so come eager to see, hear about and learn about Jesus!

What is the community like?
We love coming together on Sunday mornings to worship God together and fellowship as a church family. Our Sunday gatherings are planned with the desire to focus on & worship God in each element of the service. God calls us into His presence and invites us to come as we are. As we come to Him, we realize the reality of our sin against Him, but are comforted because He offers grace & forgiveness as we repent of our sin and place faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ, confident in His love for us.

Leadership

Matt LaCava

Matt LaCava
Lead Pastor

Through being born into and brought up in a Christian family, Matt was drawn to Jesus as a young child. He sensed God leading him to vocational pastoral ministry at a young age, and was eventually led specifically to church planting in Colorado while he and his wife, Kate, prayerfully considered where God would have them go after finishing graduate school. In May 2010, the LaCavas moved to Brighton to join the Redeemer Bible Church planting efforts. Matt and Kate have had 4 children since moving to Brighton, and count it a great privilege and joy to have been able to grow as a family here. Matt was ordained to pastoral ministry by the elders at Redeemer in 2011, and was appointed as the lead pastor of Redeemer in 2017. His primary role at our church is teaching God's Word through expositional preaching in our Sunday worship & teaching services, and is also passionate about teaching privately in personal discipling relationships.
