I am now 68 years old but I fondly remember attending services there in my youth when my grandfather Rev. Herman Kossack was the minister. He retired in the early 1960s and he and my grandmother bought a house on E. Washington St. in New Castle. I believe this is the same church. At that time the. church was out in the country with a farm across from the parsonage. I can remember visiting in the winter and my grandfather shoveling coal into the huge furnace in the basement, and then standing on the large grates upstairs to feel the heat.
