What to Expect

What are services like?
Our services last one hour and includes singing together led by our rockin' band, a time where you can participate in the Lord's supper and receive individual personal prayer if you choose, followed by a 25-30 minute message that is practical and relevant to your life today. We offer complimentary coffee and donuts each week so you don't even have to worry about breakfast. Did I mention you can wear shorts, flip-flops and a T-shirt? If you'd rather wear a suit or tie, thats ok too. Its more important to us that you hear from God than look a certain way.

What is the community like?
Each weekend we open our doors to businessmen and bikers, working moms and homeschool families, people of all walks of life. We gather together to worship and encourage one another as we seek to make the most of Jesus Christ. On any given weekend we have about 2200 kids, students and adults who worship together here at The Park.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We welcome you with open arms on your faith journey. Feel free to engage as much as you feel comfortable. We hope you find a community of people who are all seeking to find purpose and meaning is this life. We believe that meaning and purpose is found in Jesus, but we welcome you to explore that on your own.

Mike McGown

Hi, I’m Mike and I’m the pastor at Parkway Fellowship. My main role is to lead and feed. I provide leadership and vision for The Park and am usually the pastor who shares the message on Sunday mornings. I first showed up in Katy in 1989 as a summer youth intern at a local church. That summer God put a love in my heart for this community and it’s people. As soon as I graduated from seminary, I moved here and went on staff at a local church. In September of 2002, my wife and I started Parkway Fellowship along with a committed group of people. We opened the doors of the church in Feburary of 2003 and it has been an amazing ride ever since! My wife, Amy, and I were married in April, 1999. Our daughter, Libby, was born in 2002 and our son, Ben, was born in 2004. We also have a Yellow Lab, Gracie.
