About Us

"I believe that Jesus Christ, true God, begotten of the Father from eternity, and also true man, born of the Virgin Mary, is my Lord, who has redeemed me..." (Small Catechism)

At Our Redeemer Emmett, we worship the incarnate Son of God, Jesus Christ, who purchased and won us from all sins, from death, and from the power of the devil, not with gold or silver, but with His holy, precious blood and with His innocent suffering and death, that we may be His own, and live under Him in His kingdom, and serve Him in everlasting righteousness, innocence, and blessedness, even as He is risen from the dead, lives and reigns to all eternity with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

We know that Our Redeemer lives! Come and join us.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Worship at Our Redeemer is centered around the reading of the Scriptures, the proclamation of the Gospel, and the celebration of the Lord's Supper. Every service features congregational singing of the historic Lutheran liturgy and beautiful, doctrinally-rich hymns. Children of all ages are most welcome, and you need not worry if your little ones are fussy. Every service entails both quiet, penitential reflection and joyful acclamation and praise. The overall mood is reverent, prayerful, and orderly.

What is the community like?
Our church family is warm and inviting. We are not a large church, but that does not mean that we are "too small." Everyone knows everyone, and we help and support each other just like we would family.

What if I'm not a Christian?
"God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. And He has made from one [j]blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising. Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead" (St. Paul the Apostle, Acts 17:24-31). You are most welcome to visit our services, observe, and ask questions.
