Who We Are

Christian Church

We invite you to join us on our journey to love God, love others, and serve as Jesus served. We are passionate about pursuing Jesus and look to his life and teachings as the way to be fully alive. The center of our belief is the Bible. The center of our service is the cross. The center of our hope is the empty tomb. We strive as a church family for an atmosphere of love, grace, and community. Join us as we engage the work of God's Kingdom in Oak Harbor.

What to Expect

What are services like?
One worship practice that sets the church of Christ apart from most Christian churches is a cappella singing. We worship in song in this way because of the rich history and tradition of singing in the churches of Christ. The result is a beautiful blending of all voices, seeking to praise and glorify God and encourage each other in spirit and love. It is a very unique sound, but beginning to spread more widely among other groups. Another place you may notice a difference between our church and other religious groups is the weekly observance of the Lord’s Supper. It is observed in memory of Christ’s crucifixion. In Acts 20:7, we find “And upon the first day of the week. The disciples came together to break bread.” We follow this example and honor Jesus every week by participating in this communion.

What is the community like?
Our membership is made up of many people from many backgrounds.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We welcome all to grow and study with us. Our motto is To know Christ and make Him known.
