North Springfield Baptist Church

About Us

Serviing Jesus Christ and our community in love.

Our Church Covenant
Having been led by the Spirit of God to profess our faith in Jesus Christ, and having been baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we do now solemnly and joyfully affirm our covenant with God and with each other.

We will, with the aid of the Holy Spirit, walk together in Christian love, remember one another in prayer, share each others' joys, and endeavor, with tenderness and sympathy, to bear one another's burdens and sorrow.

We will seek to become a fellowship where the lost may find Jesus Christ, and where all who come will find a warm welcome. We shall strive to be responsible church members through faithful and active participation and giving.
We will make prayer a part of our daily living, seeking God's help to enable us to do our daily tasks, to overcome temptation, and to strive for attitudes and actions which will reflect God's Spirit working through us.

Bound together in a fellowship of faith with all who confess Jesus Christ as Lord and savior, we shall pray for a spirit of unity among all Christians and strive to be true servants of Christ by spreading His Word to the world. We therefor desire to worship and serve God and accept His will for us in our daily walk with Christ, and through Him, to the grace and mercy of the Almighty God.

AMEN

Our Services

What to Expect

What are services like?
Traditional services with a call to worship, unison scripture reading, sharing prayer concerns and community prayer, sermon/meditation, and singing of traditional hymns and contemporary Christian songs.

What is the community like?
Our congregation is part of the family of God with people of all ages who lift each other up in prayer and encourage and support each other as followers of Jesus Christ. We are active in our local association of churches, put on free community dinners every other month, collect food for the local food pantry and help lead in local community worship services. We also have a Ham dinner each month as a fund raiser for our work.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Our congregation has both members and friends who worship together. We will help you to come to know Jesus as the Christ and encourage you to accept him as your personal Lord and Savior. As a new believer you will be offered the opportunity to be Baptized as a symbol of your decision to begin a new life as a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ and we will then invite you to join our congregation as a member.
