What to Expect

What are services like?
We offer Communion every Sunday. We sing a lot, both hymns and parts of the liturgy. We use a worship folder and sing 99% of our songs out of the Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnal. We have a nice sized choir that sings an anthem most every Sunday. Some people dress up, some wear jeans and flip flops. Pr. Chrisy is down to earth and approachable.

What is the community like?
We are a very welcoming church, and we constantly strive to be intentionally so. We vary in age from a little over a year to our oldest member who just turned 93. We have a lot of members who did not grow up Lutheran and have a Roman Catholic, Episcopal, Methodist, or Mennonite background. We also have frequent visitors who have a Seventh Day Adventist and Christian Scientist background. We like to be out doing various things in the community, and have hosted various presentations such as CPR training, movie discussions and evenings of music

What if I'm not a Christian?
You are very welcome! At least we hope you would feel welcome. Your questions, observations and thoughts would be interesting to hear and learn from and we hope we would have the same to offer you, without trying to brow beat you over to our way of thinking!
