I am a 4th generation Florida native. I was born in Pinellas County, on the West Coast of Florida, but my dad was in the Air Force, so I grew up all over the Eastern United States. I graduated from the University of South Florida in 1975 and from Duke Divinity School in 1979. I have served churches in Titusville, Clearwater, Branford, Tallahassee, Chattahoochee, Hudson and Jupiter. I have been married to my husband, Jeff, for 36 years. We met at Duke and crashed two cultures together as Jeff is Pennsylvania Dutch. Jeff is ordained in the United Church of Christ, but is now disabled due to a neurological disorder and is unable to work. We have two daughters. Rachel, 30, is a middle school biology teacher in Tallahassee. She and her husband, Bryan, who is a policeman for Capital Police, have just given us our first grandchild, a boy Logan. Cathy, 25, has just graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling. She is living in Tallahassee. Our other three family members include a dog, Timone, and two cats, Bagheera and Whitby. I love being a pastor. I enjoy getting to know the church and the individual stories of her members. I love to read (usually crime dramas), walk, and do counted-cross stitch.
