New Hope Church

New Hope Church is a historic Christian congregation serving Meyersdale and the surrounding communities of southern Somerset County.

We are a church with deep roots, but our confidence is not in our history. Our confidence is in Jesus Christ, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. We believe that sinners are saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe the church exists for the glory of God, the building up of His people, and the proclamation of the gospel to the world.

Whether your family has lived in these mountains for generations or you are visiting New Hope for the first time, we invite you to join us as we worship the Lord together.

Rooted in Scripture

The church does not create its message. God has spoken.

For that reason, Scripture stands at the center of our worship, preaching, teaching, and life together.

Centered on Christ

Christianity is not primarily a program for making better people. It is the good news of what God has done to save sinners through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We proclaim Christ crucified, risen, reigning, and coming again.
