What to Expect

What are services like?
When you attend a worship service at New Hope you will experience a warm and friendly atmosphere where everyone is welcomed. Most services begin with music, which is led by a worship leader along with a live band. The music is modern in style (think guitars and drums) but ancient in message (think scriptural based songs and hymns). There is also a teaching time that is focused on God’s Word, and relevant to the real issues that we all face in our daily lives. You can expect to be both encouraged and challenged by Pastor Matt or another member of our teaching team. The Sunday service lasts approximately 70 minutes.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Everyone is welcome to attend and explore God's Word and discover what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that the Bible is true and that it's message is real and relevant for today's world.

Leadership

Matt Archer

In 2011, Matt and his wife Shellie accepted the call to lead New Hope Church. After spending almost 20 years ministering in churches from the West Coast to the Mid West, they have come full circle in returning to Matt’s home state of New York. Growing up just 20 minutes outside of Baldwinsville, Matt has long desired to see a spiritual awakening take place across Central New York. His goal for New Hope is to lead a community of believers who will embrace and embody the call of Jesus, to love God and love people.
