What to Expect

What are services like?
Two Sunday morning, vibrant, grace-centered worship services are offered each weekend, creating a space to encounter God. The 9:00 AM Classic Worship blends the rich legacy of hymns with modern-day worship songs. The 10:30 Contemporary Worship blends upbeat praise songs with passionate worship songs. Both services offer worshipers an opportunity to come up at the end for prayer and conversation with a worship leader. Sunday school will be offered at the 10:30 AM service only for children ages 3 through the 5th grade. The children gather in Friendship Hall, then move to their age appropriate classes and then join in worship with their families for the Children’s Message and Holy Communion.

What is the community like?
A loving family and Christ centered worship home, where all are invited to grow together in a safe place. A place to connect with people who, like you, wish to discover God’s messages and meaning in our lives.

Steven Kruse
Pastor

Pastor Steve grew up cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Minnesota Vikings! He is a native Iowan who went to Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD, where he was a History major and then on to Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN, where he studied to be a Pastor. Steve moved out to Scottsdale with his family to become the Pastor of New Covenant Lutheran Church. He loves reading, cooking, traveling, and working out. He is married to Patti and they have three children: Meredith, Katelyn, and Peter.
