What are services like?
At Nazareth, coming together to worship God as a community is an important part of helping us to grow in our mission: “Living together in God’s amazing grace, we invite all people to know Christ, grow in Christ and make Christ known.” All are welcome. Come as you are! We have 2 worship styles to choose from. The 9:00 a.m. Worship Service typically features hymns, organ music, an ensemble of Worship Leaders, a Children’s Sermon, and the Nazareth Choir, all of which is a more traditional feel and style. The 10:45 a.m. Worship Service typically features a full band of Worship Leaders including vocalists, drums, keyboard, guitar, and bass, all of which is higher energy and contemporary. The messages are the same at both services. We now offer online and local TV viewing opportunities. What is the community like?
We are a deeply-rooted congregation in our community. Most Sundays, we see over 500 people attending, and have around 2000 active congregation members. Depending on what your schedule allows and your needs are, we offer a wide variety of ministry opportunities, assistance, and education. Whether it's just learning about who Christ is to having a long and fruitful relationship with Him, we always know there are Next Steps to take towards a better and stronger relationship with Christ and His community. What if I'm not a Christian?
All are welcome at Nazareth. We have a rich history in Cedar Falls, and have been serving the Cedar Valley for over 150 years. Our Mission and our Values guide us to be a people and place of grace; we encourage you to come as you are.
