Mt. Olive Lutheran Church's mission is to grow in faith and love by spreading the Word of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The Mt. Olive congregation is made up of people who live throughout the greater Columbia area and the Midlands. Folks travel from as far as Lexington, Newberry, Elgin, and Orangeburg to worship each week!
Visit us for worship this Saturday or Sunday and experience a service that focuses on worshiping the Triune God with the traditional liturgy of the Church, inspirational hymns, and Holy Communion.

What to Expect
Leadership
Paul Sizemore
The Rev. Paul C. Sizemore has served Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Columbia, South Carolina as pastor since January 1998.
He is a 1981 graduate of Concordia Seminary, St Louis, who recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of his ordination into the pastoral ministry of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
Before coming to serve Mount Olive, Pastor Sizemore served three other parishes: Immanuel Lutheran Church in Simpsonville, South Carolina from 1989 to 1997; St Paul Lutheran Church in Statesboro, Georgia from 1983 to 1989 and Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Riverdale, Georgia from 1981 to 1983.
A native of Daytona Beach, Florida, Pastor Sizemore earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary-secondary education at Concordia University, Chicago, Illinois in 1977.
Pastor Sizemore and his wife Lisa are blessed with six grown children and four grandchildren.
