What to Expect

What are services like?
We are NOT your daddy's Southern Baptist Church. As our Pastor says we are Bapticostal.

What is the community like?
We are an open and welcoming church. We don't hide in our tiny little groups. Instead we welcome in new family every chance we get. Are you ready to find a church family? This might be the one God has for you. Feel free to check us out and see if this is the church home God has chosen for you. We are not about religion. We are about real relationships. The relationship with Jesus Christ and each other.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Then expect to be offered a chance to meet Jesus Christ. Should you accept the invite then expect to be taught how to have a real relationship with Him. We are not about religion we are about relationship.

Shannon McCubbins

Brother Shannon McCubbins with his wife Debora They are the proud parents of Kayla and Tyler Pastor and Family I Peter 5:2 Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly I am filled with a deep sense of honor and gratitude in the realization that God has chosen me to shepherd His very own flock at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. As I survey the pages of this directory, it becomes all the more obvious that the Lord has truly orchestrated a remarkable group of people. People of various ages, backgrounds, cultures, and personalities have been hand-picked by God to become the Body of Christ at Mt. Moriah. Each person with their unique abilities, attributes, and talents has been called to come together in one accord and serve Christ as one church. May we never forget that Jesus Christ died and was gloriously resurrected to redeem fallen humanity. He died for real people living real lives. He did not die for wood, bricks, mortar, or anything made with human hands. Each picture in this directory represents the real reason that God allowed his very own Son to come to this earth and become the atonement for all of humanity. May we love each other and realize that God has placed us together to accomplish something that is above and beyond anything that we can imagine. Let’s “Be” the church!! In Christ, Bro. Shannon
