Mt Elon Baptist Church

What can I say? I guess you can say that Mt. Elon Baptist Church in Hopkins, S.C. is the church where almost all of the proper and important things in life were handed to me on a golden platter. I thank Jesus Christ and the loving church family I was entrusted with my Christian upbringing. One summer in June when I was very young, there was typical hot S.C. Nighy when the phone rang. My mother answered the call and I remember vividly her crying harder than I had ever heard. Our church had been hit by lighting and totally burned. I can remember the shoebox zoo train that each child had a section of. Mine was a lion. I remember the boys were RA's, Royal Ambassador's for christ. The girls were GA's, Girls Auxiliary. Just a couple of many precious memories. ​I have my own family here in Burlington, NC now and am so BLESSED AND THANKFUL for my life. Thank you, Lord Jesus , and please continue to bless the members of Mt Elon as they continue to carry on in Your name.
