    Even before accepting his license to preach the word of God on September 23, 2015, Min. James Boyd has always been one to help out whenever he is needed. He serves as the Sunday School Director, Youth Minister, Vice-President of Youth Ministry, and a few more ministries within our church family. He has a big heart for other people and he is 100% serious when it comes to his relationship with Jesus Christ. He has even started a new ministry outside the church known as "James Boyd Ministries. With all this being said, it can be assumed that he often overwhelms himself but we love and appreciate him anyway.

    First Lady

    Our First Lady Denise Almon Parham is the best, hands down. She has a very compassionate heart and will give you the clothes off her back if you ever needed. She's not like most traditional first ladies, and so that only means she's one of the best. During Vacation Bible School she always takes pride in teaching the "Crafts" department. She makes so many sacrifices for our youth, we don't know what we'd do without her. She serves on so many ministries within our church congregation, she's the advisor to our youth ministry, president of the missionary ministry, and contributes greatly to the publications/program committee.

  • Charisma Holloway

    Charisma Holloway
    Youth President

    Selfless, dedicated, determined, hardworking, beautiful, and persistent are just some of the words we'd use to describe our youth president, Charisma Holloway. She came to us late 2015 (around February-May), and since then with the great partnership between her and our youth minister, Min. James Boyd, our youth ministry has been more active than they've ever been since they began their tenure at Mt. Grove. From awards day in June, VBS in July, Car Wash and Six Flags in August, and Youth Gospel Explosion in September; these are just some of the things our youth have been doing during the time we've been blessed to have her as our youth president. She'll tell you all in a second that our youth are like her babies, and she really will do anything for each of them collectively, and individually. We love our youth president and appreciates all she does for us.

    When it comes to Pastors, you can't get more down to earth than our own Pastor Freddie Parham. He preaches the word of God with such fire and anointing and we know it's all about Christ. But, seeing that he is someone else who invest so much in our youth ministry, we can't miss an opportunity to say how much he blesses us. He has made so many contributions to our youth ministry, and to our church body. He's always supporting and encouraging us in so many ways. He's also a very humble man and quite the family man. There's nothing he wouldn't do for those who need something and to those who ask.
