We are a small Christian congregation (100 members) here in Evansville, IN, who offer a "home away from home" for those wanting to learn about and draw closer to Jesus Christ. We're located at 7700 Middle Mount Vernon Road--directly across the Lloyd Expressway, just north of the University of Southern Indiana.

What to Expect

What are services like?
All of our services follow the same basic Biblical liturgy, however our Sunday services are the most traditional, while our midweek services on Wednesday nights are much more casual and have more contemporary music. All our services are confessional, conservative, and aimed at proclaiming and distributing all the blessings that God has to offer to us through His Son, Jesus Christ.

What is the community like?
We are on the far west side of Evansville, IN, directly across the highway from the University of Southern Indiana. The immediate area surrounding the church is residential and relatively quiet. Our church itself is composed of members from 8 to 80 years old--families with children, and singles, some members are divorced, married, re-married, or even widowed.

Leadership

Sean Esterline

Native Hoosiers, Pastor Sean and his wife Angela moved from Chicago to Evansville in 2004, bringing their three daughters (Auburn, Morgan, and Lauren) with them. Pastor Sean was installed as Pastor of Messiah LCMS in January of 2004. His wife Angela is a Doctor of Audiology in Evansville. Their three daughters are all in high school and college here in Evansville.
