Maxwell Hill Baptist Church

Well I don't know much about this church today, but I spent time here with my grandparents (SM and Ora Bailey) and I loved everything about this church. Granted most of this time was late 60's when the church was across the street and then during the 70's where it is now. Some of my best memories of my youth into young adulthood where times I spent here, playing softball and basketball for the church, and picnics either on the school ground or community center. My Grandfather (not biological) taught me so much. He was a deacon for the church as long as I knew him. He also mowed the (old) church lot every week weather permitting. Even after the church moved across the street he still mowed the old lot every week. My Grandparents had a large garden in back and grew just about everything. Grandma would can things to last the year and anything left was passed out to neighbors and friends, and there was plenty to pass out. Along with that she was a Sunday school teacher as long as I could remember. I miss my times there as I now live in Arizona, but hope to visit again some day soon. I wonder if any of my friends still attend the church!
