Leadership
Kevin Bates
Magnolia’s new pastor was born and raised in Washington state, attended seminary in Chicago, and now comes to us from Advent Lutheran in Mill Creek. His wife, Marcia, will be doing graduate work in Marriage and Family Therapy, as Pastor completes his Doctoral of Ministry degree. Marcia and Kevin have two sons, now in 6th and 5th grades. At his first church, Pastor Bates worked with other congregations to start a feeding program for people in need in Illinois. His Mill Creek WA congregation grew substantially during his work there. Marcia and he are experienced in outdoor ministries, and Pastor has led hiking trips to Holden Village, a favorite summer retreat of our congregation.Location & Directions
