Empowered by God’s Word through the Holy Spirit, we continue the ministry of Christ through: meaningful worship; active witnessing; community interaction; holistic care; and providing resources for the Church. We offer Worship at 9am Sunday in the Summer and 8am & 10:45am in the Winter, Saturday at 5pm, Adult Education every Sunday at 9:25 AM. (Summer Sunday School is at 10:30 AM). What to Expect

What are services like?
We receive God’s Word and Sacraments and share His Truth with others. We believe, teach and confess that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Lord, and that through faith in Him we receive forgiveness of sins, eternal life and salvation. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. We believe that those who believe in Christ will enjoy a blissful relationship with Him during the interim between their death and His second coming, and that on the last day their bodies will be raised.

What is the community like?
Green Valley is a "retirement" community, with a mixture of many denominations. Green Valley is one of the larger active adult communities in the world. It is actually a collection of developments and developments located in extreme southern Arizona. People who want a warm winter and love the desert will like Green Valley. Golfers, group activity enthusiasts, and people who like the outdoors will feel at home here.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We embrace the fellowship of believers and strive for personal interaction with unbelievers.

Todd Arnold
Pastor

Pastor Arnold is a 1996 graduate of Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. He served as Pastor of West Portal Lutheran Church and School in San Francisco, California since 2008. Prior to this, he served twelve years in Payson, Arizona. Pastor Arnold is currently taking courses in pursuit of a doctor of ministry degree at San Francisco Theological Seminary in San Anselmo, CA. His wife, Kathleen, taught science and religion at West Portal Lutheran School. They have three children – Emily, Nathan and Tim.
