Lutheran Church of Hope is one of the fastest growing Lutheran churces in the nation and is active in local and world missions.
Lutheran Church of Hope Ankeny was launched in 2006 and is the first satalllite congregation of LCOH.

We encourage those with questions to check us out. We also offer Alpha 2-3 times a year. Alpha offers an opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening manner over nine thought-provoking weekly sessions.

Scott Rains

Scott Rains grew up on a farm outside New Providence, Iowa and graduated from Eldora-New Providence High School. After earning a Communication degree from Central College in Pella, IA Scott began work as a Youth Pastor in Des Moines. Scott married Wendy in '97 and moved to Portland, OR where Scott earned his Master of Divinity from George Fox Evangelical Seminary. While in seminary Scott joined the staff of an ELCA church plant, Community of Christ Church. From 2001-2006 Scott was the pastor of Buffalo Friends Church near Davenport. Scott and Wendy have six children, Dalton, Hadley, Kiley, Kemble, Shayden and Saphron.
