Welcome to Living Waters Lutheran Church a place of blessing where the grace of Christ
is shared with all God’s people. If you are new to Christianity, or raised within the Christian faith,
we invite you to deepen your faith journey through the various opportunities available at
Living Waters Lutheran Church, a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).

Worship at Living Waters is varied and vibrant providing both traditional and contemporary worship opportunities.
At Living Waters serving others within the community, nation and world is a priority. Living Waters is a place where
praying, serving, learning and caring for one another is a priority.

What to Expect

What are services like?
We have both traditional and contemporary services. The traditional is ELW hymnal based while blending in some of the contemporary aspects. The contemporary service has current songs and prayers. Nursery is provided at the 10:30 service for infant to 4 years old.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We accept all faiths to spend worship with us.

Carol S. Gates

Carol S. Gates

Pr. Carol Gates comes to Living Waters Lutheran Church after serving as the Executive Director of a 900 student Pan-Lutheran school system. Prior to her call as Executive Director, she served as Senior Pastor in Sandwich, Illinois of Salem Lutheran Church where she not only grew attendance and community participation over her six year call, but completed a capital building project. In addition to serving as Senior Pastor, she concurrently served as an Assistant to the Bishop of the Northern Illinois Synod. She was instrumental in establishing international outreach programs in her congregation, specifically supporting the educational efforts of Congregation Immanuel, Congregation Talitha Cum and House of the Little Ones in Cuzco, Peru. She is also a Chaplain for the Lake in the Hills Police Department. She currently resides in Huntley. In addition to her spouse, she has three grown children, son Robert (Lisa), an attorney in Peoria, Il: USMC Veteran daughter Amy Pedraza (SSGT USMC Gines Pedraza) in San Diego, CA, and son Jonathan (Julie), a special education charter school teacher in Indianapolis, IN.
