What to Expect

What are services like?
Visiting Liberty Bible LaPorte Campus for the First time. Where do I park? We have GREAT parking at our 608 Colfax Avenue location in LaPorte. What type of children's and youth ministries do you have? At our 10:00 am worship service we have childcare available for birth through pre-K. When you enter the church follow the signs to the Liberty Bible Church LaPorte Children’s Ministry registration. Children from newborn to pre-K, will receive great care in our Nursery and Toddler’s Room. There is a monitor in the worship service that will show your child’s number if for any reason your child would need your special attention during the service. If you have children, Kindergarten through 4th Grade, bring them first to the Children’s Ministry Registration. After registration, your children will go into the Main Worship Service with you. Just before the sermon, the children will be released to exit the back of the Worship Room to our K-4th Sunday’s Cool Program. Children who are 5th Grade and above will be in the Worship Service with their parents during the whole service. We are in the process of organizing our ministry to 5th and 6th grade children and Youth Ministry for Middle School and Senior High Students. Watch the bulletin for more information. What should I expect during the service? When you enter the Worship Service you will be given a bulletin by one of our ushers which has information about upcoming events and opportunities at our church. The service is different each week, but will always include a time of worship through singing and prayer. We take an offering, but no one need feel obligated to put money in the plate. We want you to be our guest. People that call Liberty Bible Church their home give out of gratitude for all that God has blessed us with. After this first part of the service is over, the senior pastor will give a message that is based on the Bible and relevant to daily life. The teaching will last about 30-35 minutes, and we generally end the service with prayer and sometimes a song. We celebrate communion monthly (often the first Sunday of the month), and if you have put your faith in Christ as your Savior, you are welcome to share communion with us. The music at Liberty Bible Church is a mix of new and traditional music. The music teams do a great job leading the worship services, and you will enjoy learning new songs and occasionally singing some old favorites. After the worship service concludes around 11:10, as soon as the service is over, you can pick up your children from their classrooms. We’d love for you to stay around and meet new friends and get to know our pastor. If you leave your contact information on a Connections Card (tucked inside the bulletin) and drop it in the offering bag, you will receive any information that you need. The Welcome Center also has brochures and booklets for all of our ministries. Don't hesitate to contact Mike Sutton, Campus Pastor, with any questions you might have at 510-3193, or by email [email protected].
