I was pastor of this church while attending Howard Payne University from 1975-76. On Sunday, July 6th, I will mark the 50th Anniversary of my ordination at Liberty Baptist Church. Charles Nabors was moderator of the ordaining council. Mrs. Kathy George was the clerk. Among those signing were my father-in-law, B. Gene Grace (pastored in Waco), Jose Rivas (HPU professor), Wesley Ray David (friend and fellow student), Henry Johnson and S. M. Maundy. I am currently Pastor at Cordova Baptist Church in Memphis, TN, where I have served for 32 years. I pray God's continued blessings on this church!
