Why are there so many pedophiles in clerical positions in out churches?? It is a very serious problem in American Christianity. American churches are danger zones for children because of the large number of pedophiles and sexual predators in ministry. You should check out a reddit group named r/PastorArrested. You will see that one to three preachers, pastors, youth pastors, priests and other leaders are arrested for sex crimes against children. We like to blame any one different than us but the problem is in our churches and our communities. These pastors and priests are not gay and they are not drag queens or trans people, the people we desperately want to believe are monsters. No, the stats say it is people who make a big show of being very normal lost in the crowd kind of . They are people who seek positions of trust as protective colouring We are failing our children for very poor reasons. This is an everyday thing in American churches. All while we make a big pretence of being more moral than everyone else.
