What to Expect

What are services like?
8:00 AM Traditional Worship Service Organ, choirs, preaching, and the historic liturgy offer a deeply meaningful worship experience. This service will include a children's message and "Kids Busy Bags" for fun Bible activities to do in the pew. 10:15 AM Family Praise Service with Sunday School Especially designed for families, this service begins with parents and kids together in our sanctuary for opening praise. Children K-6 are then dismissed for an interactive Sunday School experience. Parents continue in worship and a great, Bible-based message with Pastor.

What is the community like?
Our vision is to intentionally reach out to active suburban families in Riverside. We will be a church that empowers people to grow in their faith through dynamic worship and effective small groups. Our small groups will be a place where we support one another and serve as the hands of our church in reaching out to our community and the world. We will be a school that pursues excellence in educating children as well as impacting their families with the love of Christ. By 2015, we will establish a multi-cultural ministry to better engage our diverse neighbors.

11 years ago when our family moved to Riverside we were looking for a church that was grounded in teaching the word of God. We also wanted to find a church where God would let us use our gifts that He graciously blessed us with. We found that here at Immanuel. We got connected in ministry right away. Teaching Sunday School, Leading Small Group Bible Studies and leading worship on Sunday mornings. Getting involved with small groups and volunteering for different ministry teams allowed us to meet alot of different people that have truely blessed our lives over the years. Our familys spiritual life has blossomed here at Immanuel in experiencing God's presence in our lives through word and sacrament, equipping us to use our gifts to glorify God and engage our neighbors and community with the love of Jesus Christ. As a newcomer you can expect a warm welcome and you will experience God's presence as you sing praises to our heavenly Father and hear the powerful word of God being preached from our Pastors. We offer a dynamic Sunday School for Toddler thru 6th grade with age appropriate material that is fun and engaging. We have a staffed child care for the little ones that are too young to go to Sunday School. We offer both liturgical and comtemporary styles of worship.
