Haverhill Christian Church

Six years ago, my father and I had run out of gas on a country road. Pastor Slaughter had asked if he could help. He put in a small amount of gas and had us drive to the nearest gas station where he filled the tank. That was completely above and beyond what we ever expected. We started attending his church and I asked my father one Sunday morning if he was ready to give his life to Jesus. He said yes. Pastor Slaughter baptized my 85 year old father within a few months of meeting him. He won over my father's heart with a simple act of love--some gas. It had to be God's timing and circumstance to win my father's heart. Thank you, Pastor Slaughter.
