For you who are looking at this site for the first time, let me share with you a little about Janet and myself. We were both raised in the Presbyterian church (Janet’s father was a Presbyterian minister). We live in Sun City West, Arizona, a little over an hour and a half one way to Jerome. Janet and I have been married for 12 years and have 3 grown children between and three grandchildren. Much of our time is used in traveling as you can imagine. We look forward with great anticipation to serving Haven UMC in the coming days and years with Christian fellowship and happy association as we labor together in the cause of the Kingdom of God. We have already had a hardy welcome from the congregation also with insights and understanding of the works of the small town. The people of Jerome have been opening their arms to us in welcome. We have been amazed at how much they do for each other and for visitors from all over the country. We are beginning our first year at Haven. We plan to continue to learn and grow through working with the entire congregation at Haven. With this web page hopefully we will reach others with the invitation to come to Haven and worship with us. This is such a blessed community here in Jerome and we pray that those who visit us here in this historic church will come and experience the joy we all share for our Lord.
