Gum Orchard Baptist Church

I am a member of this organization. They primed the membership prior to and picked a Wednesday that no meeting was planned and they waited until a lot of the membership had left the premises. Only a few folks were priveyed to the removal of Joe Lambert as pastor on 3/29/2023 for reasons no one could or can explain and against the bylaws of the church. They did it without the full church membership and without announcing it 2 weeks prior to the meeting which is against the bylaws and without about 2 thirds of the membership and out of the 1 third that was there some of them wanted no part without every member. About 20 have left the church since. In my opinion if you do go you need to watch for all the backbiters. There are still some there that are Godly but for the life of me I can't understand why... I went on Sunday to put my 2 cents in and Chris Laster told me to leave threatened to whip my butt. And when I didn't back down well guess he was a little more scared than I was. Then you turn around and drop all the missionaries that had nothing to do with the pastor you voted out... Just like a bunch of hypocrites...
