Tim Van Loh

Pastor Tim grew up in Minnesota, spending his elementary school years in the Twin Cities and his junior and senior high years on a small farm in Westbrook, MN. He met his wife, Naomi (Telloyan), at Pillsbury Baptist Bible College (Owatonna, MN). They were married after his junior year of college in June of 1991. During his last two years at Pillsbury and his next three years at Central Baptist Theological Seminary (Plymouth, MN), he served as youth pastor at Faith Baptist Church of St. Paul, MN. In 1995 after graduating from Central, Tim and Naomi moved to Japan where they served as tentmaker missionaries. Their children, Lily and Isaac were both born in Japan. They were also privileged to birth Izumo International Evangelical Friendship Church (2000), and Tim pastored it until they returned to Pillsbury in 2004. Upon returning to Pillsbury, Tim served as the Dean of Men until Pillsbury’s closure in December, 2008. God led Tim to Grove, and he has pastored here since June of 2009.
