Grace Lutheran Church

I was eldest of 4 children from a Lutheran family who had attended St Paul Lutheran in Oakland until family moved to North Berkeley. Pastor O. R. Janke told me I was going to hell, and he told my sister she was also going to hell. My youngest 2 brothers only attended Sunday school, and did not suffer the judgement from God's future destiny judge Pastor Otler Reinhold Janke. I learned Janke was only really interested in wealthy Chebul family money as I wanted to finish Catachism which my first real job interfered with by requiring work after school interfering with last few months of Catachism classes. The Chebul future son in law whose marriage was to be officiated by Janke got emergency Catachism lessons every Sunday morning before Sunday church. Janke had told me I was going to hell, and did not offer me to attend the Chebul lessons. I confronted Janke about this, and that was the last time I stepped onto Grace Lutheran property, or was ever in the presence of Janke. My sister became honored queen of Jobes Daughters. Janke had issues with Jobes daughters also so he condemned both of us to hell. The property structures are probably still nice. So First impressions seem favorable. Yet, the newcomer can expect to be directed by rules of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod which are not presented openly. Maybe O. R. Janke, or Missouri Synod are not equally disgusting, but newcomers should learn about both to determine if the true triune God really supports this Grace Lutheran Church in El Cerrito. As a now confirmed Catholic having attended a celebration of a Lutheran confirmation, I sensed that Lutheran pastors may not really represent God anymore. We were taught Martin Luther had problems with his church during the Protestant Reformation. Yet it now seems his churches have strayed from Jesus's and biblical teachings iwas r eally religiously mentally messed up by Janke for a long time especially not being able to take holy communion. So i attended adult confirmation in the Catholic faith. My father was very upset with me, and my sister for not being Lutheran anymore. Dad stated, "our family is Lutheran."My father was helped with his religious problematic needs by a Lay Catholic minister Rex Egerling a few months before before dad passed on. The only reason I would want attend any services at Grace Lutheran El Cerrito would be to see if any past friends still attend there. i wonder how many families also left Grace Lutheran because of the condemning judgements of O.R. Janke? i attended Grace Lutheran from late 1950's until 1964, or 1965. how many of us have left because of judgements by this honored pastor? Eric Wikander now 75.
