About Us

Grace Church's mission is International as well as Domestic and Local. We provide an ongoing place of prayer for the Community by offering the Prayer Wall, Prayer Paths and Walks and the Prayer Cave (Cave of the Seven Sleepers) for those who look for a place to come apart from the world and find the stillness and prayer.

Grace Church is evangelical, but not Protestant. It is catholic, but not Roman. It isn’t non-denominational. It is pre-denominational. It has believed, taught, preserved, defended and died for the Faith of the the Apostles since the Day of Pentecost nearly 2000 years ago in 33 A.D

Established in the year 1853 in Louisville, KY, Grace Church is in the Anglican Tradition that reaches back centuries to the Ecclesia Anglicana of Roman times. As part of the One Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, Grace Church enjoys the episcopal cover of the Rt Revd James Barton, Oklahoma, Archbishop Of the Convocation of Anglican Churches

Ecclesia Anglicana (The English Church) predates the arrival of Augustine of Canterbury by about 300 years. It is Celtic rather than Roman. It pre-dated the Great Schism of 1054 by about 700 years. Grace Church is within that Anglican tradition.

Fr Dwight shared their experience Aug 2023

After several years of visiting and spending time in prayer, pilgrimaging, and general meditation and peace I find no better place to learn and retreat. Fr Seraphim and Vicki are the most gracious hosts and and the facility is very accommodating. After a lifetime of searching for religious truth, it is at Nazareth House that I found it. I’m looking forward to returning as soon as I can.

Patrice Harrison-Inglis shared their experience Jul 2023

My home is 2000 miles from Grace Church and it’s associated St. Simeon Skete, a place for silent retreat. Even so, I try to visit as often as I can. The liturgical Sunday mornings with ancient English chant and hymns, Holy Eucharist and brief teachings by Fr. Seraphim are worth my long trips!

I have attended this church for 25 years. It is a church that makes you feel welcome whether you attend weekly or sporadically. You can feel the love for our Lord in everything they do at Grace Church! The grounds are beautiful. You have areas where you pray quietly, like the cave. A prayer wall! Many of my prayer requests are in that wall. So blessed to be a part of a community that serves so many through outreach. We may be small but our prayers are powerful! For someone attending our church for the first time you will be greeted and welcomed from the time you step through the door. You too will feel the love and care while you’re there.
