Who We Are
Good Shepherd United Methodist Church welcomes persons of any ethnic or cultural group, from anywhere in the world. We humbly embrace our diversity, which enriches our Christian fellowship. "We, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another." (Romans 12:5, NRSV)
Through our study, conversation, and faith experiences, we have come to believe that The Church of Jesus Christ exists for two reasons alone: Love of God and neighbor (The Great Commandment), and the making of Disciples of Jesus Christ (The Great Commission). For this reason, Good Shepherd Church has not sought to invent a unique vision that sets us apart from other churches and that stands to actually detract us from working for God's kingdom and purpose.
Accordingly, we have discovered that we best work as a community of Christ to accomplish the above vision in the following ways:
--Through meaningful and inclusive worship
--By seeking to invite all people into the faith
--By nurturing people through scripture, study, and compassionate care
--By helping the needy
We are a church for ALL God's children! Everyone is welcome here...regardless of anything.
