About Us
We have a multigenerational congregation with many retirees in the summer months. The people are friendly and enjoy visitors. We always have either a potluck or refreshments after the service that all are welcome to come to.
We have traditional Lutheran services with the whole service printed out in the bulletin. The church loves to sing.
There is a children's message included in the Sunday services, where the children are invited up front for an object lesson with the pastor. There are also children’s “bulletins” and activity bags for young children.

Andrew Carlson
Pastor
Pastor Carlson grew up with twenty-two other siblings in a log cabin in the back woods of Alaska. He received his Masters of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri on May 23, 1997. He has served congregations in South Dakota and Iowa. He was also a Navy/Marine Corps Chaplain and Gulf War veteran. In 2015 he accepted a call to serve Funny River Community Lutheran Church in rural Soldotna, AK (Funny River, where he is currently serving.
