About Us
Friendship Baptist Church No. 2 was founded in 1848 and the present church building was rebuilt in 1958. We have a rich heritage in the community and in the Lord's work. We strive to teach all of the love of Jesus Christ while maintaining biblical beliefs. We are a member of the Morganton Baptist Association and Georgia Baptist Association. In a typical service, you will enjoy the presence of the Spirit of the Lord, wonderful music, and a spiritual sermon. We invite you to join us any time!

Silas Shields
Head of Public Relations
Silas Shields is a graduate of Western Carolina University. Silas joined Friendship Baptist Church No. 2 in 2009 and is the church pianist, Assistant Adult Sunday School Teacher, Cemetery Committee Member, Assistant Church Clerk, Assistant Church Treasurer, and the Head of Public Relations.
