What To Expect...
When you arrive at Firstborn Ministries you can expect to be greeted by people that are genuinely happy that you are there. These men and women will be happy to assist you in finding the various ministry venues offered at Firstborn. We have ministry opportunities for all ages. Inside the sanctuary of Firstborn you will be met with the sound of praise unto God. Our praise band and worship leaders will lead you into a wonderful, joyous, and exciting worship experience to God.
You can expect people clapping and raising their hands to the Lord, and at times exuberant shouts of Hallelujah and Praise The Lord. When it is time for the ministry of the Word Of God the messages bear a special touch of God with a definite application to the 21st century.
In short we believe that your worship experience at Firstborn will be one where you can meet Jesus as he is right where you are

Leadership
Wendell Maynard
Wendell L. Maynard and his wife Robin have served as the lead pastors of Firstborn Ministries in Rockford (Loves Park), Illinois since 1984. They have been married for 34 years and have five children and one grandchild. Robin has served in various capacities in the church as Children’s Ministry director, Ladies Ministries leader, and Principal of F.C.A. Robin is a registered nurse and currently works in the medical telemetry department of a local hospital. Wendell has been an ordained minister for the past 28 years and is currently serving as the Presbyter, overseeing and assisting 15 churches in the Northern Illinois area. Wendell's love for people, his passion for preaching and teaching from the Bible, his transparency about life, and his humorous antidotes cause the Word of God to come alive. He also writes adult Sunday school lessons for the Pentecostal Publishing House. This literature is distributed to thousands around the world.Location & Directions
