About Us
Yep. We’re a mess. One of our core values says, “We are broken people discovering healing together. We embrace messy ministry.” Most of the people you meet when you visit First United Pentecostal Church Waxahachie will be nice and friendly. But you need to know before you come, that we’re a bunch of broken messes.
There are people attending, and even leading First United Pentecostal Church Waxahachie, who have major hurts, habits, and hang-ups. In fact, perfect people are not allowed. We’re a community of people who don’t have it all together but are discovering what it means to walk in the Holy Ghost, to follow him fully, to break free from our past, and to walk in victory together. That’s who we are.

Senior Pastor
Rev. & Mrs. Ashley Spurlock have a passion to preach the gospel to the Waxahachie area and making it relevant for life today. Pastor Spurlock truly has a heart for helping people get from their present circumstance to moving forward on the path that God has in mind for them personally. They both whole-heartedly believe that a bad chapter does not have to determine a bad book and God is definitely more interested in your future than your past! They prayerfully seek the Lord guidance in leading people to a more fulfilling relationship with God and His Word and also equipping them for service in the work of the Lord. Their ministry is all about … “Making Life Better!”
