First United Methodist Church of LaPlace
A place to feel at home!
About Us
Since Hurricane Isaac, we have been rebuilding our interior. However, we have not missed worshiping on Sunday! We were able to carry on by cleaning out our Fellowship Hall. We hope to be back in our sanctuary before
Easter. Our worship is a blend of traditional hymns and liturgy and contemporary music and liturgy. We're generally pretty informal. We welcome children into our worship, and always have "children's moments."
We have a small, but very active youth group and Sunday School at 9:30 for all ages. At 10:30, we move into worship. We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month, and it is open to people of any or no demonination. Come worship with us!

Leadership
Regina Hickman
United Methodist Pastor for 20 years. I've served in the heart of Cajun Country, in the city of Gretna and in small towns. I'm a widow with two grown daughters and an 18 year-old son and two grandchildren. I also have three grown-up step-grandchildren who are like my own, and four great grandchildren. We have a very unusual family, and we like it that way. I bring that experience to my ministry.Location & Directions
