What to Expect

What are services like?
We offer three distinct worship services each week, providing a variety of ways to connect with God and our church community. 8:30 AM Traditional Worship (Sanctuary) – A traditional yet relaxed service featuring classic hymns led by the organ and piano. This service maintains the richness of traditional worship in a less formal setting. 10:50 AM Traditional Worship (Sanctuary) – A formal and reverent service featuring a full choir, organ, piano, and additional instrumental accompaniment throughout the year. Many attendees choose to wear their Sunday best, but all are welcome, no matter how they dress. 11:00 AM The Current (Great Hall) – A contemporary worship experience led by a live praise band, featuring modern worship music and creative elements such as drama, video, and other multimedia to deliver a relevant and uplifting message of hope and grace. No matter which service you attend, you’ll find a welcoming community, meaningful worship, and an opportunity to grow in faith. At First Methodist Church, you’ll experience sound expository preaching rooted in Scripture. Each sermon focuses on the truths of the Biblical text, offering messages that are thought-provoking, relevant, and spiritually enriching. We place a strong emphasis on the teaching and preaching of God’s Word. Our worship services are a time for us to come together as a community to learn, be inspired, and be challenged by Scripture. Beyond Sunday mornings, we offer various opportunities for members to grow spiritually, build relationships, and live out their faith as part of a vibrant church family.
