At Corsicana First United Methodist Church we seek to love God above all things and our neighbors as ourselves. We are working to create and sustain a community of faith that is passionate about helping people experience transforming relationships with Jesus Christ. All that we do is centered on learning to live the life exemplified and taught by Christ. This includes our understanding that we are not simply called to come to church but that we are called to be the very hands and feet of Christ that reaches out with compassion to the world around us. We believe this is a mission of a lifetime that nurtures us into becoming Christian leaders for the world and church.

What to Expect

What are services like?
We have three services weekly. 8:30 Worship in the Sanctuary is traditional but less formal that the later Traditional service and includes worship through traditional hymns led by organ and piano. 10:50 Worship in the Sanctuary is traditional with choir and formal hymns led by organ, piano, and other instrumentation throughout the year. Many will wear their "Sunday Best" at this service but any one is welcome however they dress. "The Current" is the 10:50 Contemporary worship event held in the Great Hall. In this worship opportunity a praise band leads with contemporary music. Other worship mediums from drama to video are used to offer a relevant message of hope and grace.

What is the community like?
Corsicana First UMC is a multi-generational community with a thriving program for children, youth, and adults.

What if I'm not a Christian?
While we profess Christ crucified and resurrected and seek to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world, all are welcome to experience God at this holy place or to join with us as we offer grace and hope to Corsicana and the greater Navarro County community.
