Our Services

What are services like?
Our services are warm and friendly with a casual feel. We are located in the Hill Country of Texas on Lake Buchanan and minister to people visiting for the Summer. We strive to make everyone feel welcome as we worship with a traditional type of service. We sing from a hymnal and have some members who sing specials sometimes.

What is the community like?
We are a resort community that has many visitors during the Summer and holiday weekends. Most of the year we are made up of Senior Adults who have retired at the lake as well as some families who live in the area. The Church was founded in 1854 and we still utilize some of the earliest structures built. We do have a modern worship center and many classrooms. One of our major projects during the year is Operation Christmas Child. We work on this project all year long.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We joyfully welcome everyone. Our goal is to preach the Gospel message from God's Holy Word, the Bible. If you are not a Christian, we do not pressure anyone, but we welcome the opportunity to tell you about Jesus Christ. You will not find a more loving and caring group of Christians who have only your best interest at heart.

Leadership

Ed Walker
Pastor

Pastor Ed came to us in 2018 after we persuaded him to come out of retirement. Previously he had pastored five churches in Texas and New Mexico. He was educated at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas, holding an Associate Degree in Theology. He has pastored for 35 years and has assisted many churches to reverse downward trends in attendance. He prepares all services well and delivers messages centered on the Bible and the Gospel.
