To whom it may concern, This is a little Insite to a man everyone seems to think was a good and righteous man. JAMES F WENKER. He came to The Presbyterian Church Islip as the new pastor I believe the year was1997 or 1998. Had a lovely family Wife Jill two young daughters and a very young son. I along with my wife of 10 years “ANNETTE WENKER” ran the Sr and Jr high Youth Group I was also on the Board of Trustees , my now Ex wife was on the “Praise Band” along with James Wenker and three members of the Youth Group. We became what I thought was very good friends. I spent a lot of time with James Wenker, even did quite a bit of work on a summer house he owned. On several occasions James Wenker would Make lewd & lascivious comments about a few female members of the church as well as a few comments about the development of some of the Youth Group girls. I was quite taken back the comments. I told my wife Annette Wenker about it, but she didn’t have much to say. After I confronted her about an e-mail I read from James F Wenker to my wife, I was fit to be tied. James F Wenker wrote and I quote, I WOKE UP SO HARD FOR YOU THIS MORNING. Word got out at church it shot up to Presbyterian Church USA (The main board that governs all Presbyterian church’s) James F Wenker was thrown out of the Presbyterian Clergy. We divorced and James F Wenker left behind a wife and three little children of which I believe the youngest Nathanial had Down Syndrome. So, it’s only fair you know who you were really dealing with.
