About Us
Sunday Worship begins at 10:00 a.m.
Worship creates deeper experiences of God and a fuller understanding of faith. From traditional to expansive worship, we communicate scripture through liturgy, preaching and teaching in imaginative worship where all facets cohesively glorify God. Our worship style is a blend of the old and the new, from the organ to a drum set, our music enhances our worship services as we sing new songs as well as the old familiar.

Presbyterians are Christians from differing backgrounds who come together in the family of God. We share a central belief in the Lordship of Jesus Christ, called to serve the living Christ in all aspects of life.
As a vital Christian faith, the Presbyterian Church (USA) defines our identity and mission as expressed in the denomination’s Constitution: The Book of Confessions and Book of Order. Accordingly, our supreme loyalty to the living Christ, is defined by the Holy Scriptures inspired by the Holy Spirit and continually guided by the essential tenets of the Reformed faith, “reformed and always reforming.”

- Our church, formerly Smyrna Presbyterian Church – now First Presbyterian Church of Smyrna, was established in 1810 and recognized by the presbytery in 1820. The church was first located near what is now the Smyrna golf course and had met from 1912 until July 8, 1999, at the corner of Maple Street and Sam Davis Road. The town of Smyrna got its name from the nearby church (Smyrna Presbyterian Church) when the railroad stop and the town were established. In 1996, the members of South Trinity Presbyterian Church in southeast Davidson County united with the Smyrna church. Together, in 1999, we relocated to our current location where we are continuing the course the Lord has set before us.
