First Presbyterian Church of Phoenixville
About Us
First Church, founded in 1846, is a diverse congregation where the broad variety of theological views, expressions of worship, and practices of faith are welcomed and celebrated. A mission-minded church, we not only support overseas missionaries and occasional mission trips but are also active in local outreach. Our People-to-People ministry seeks to meet the material concerns of those in the Phoenixville area in need of clothing, food and housing. Our Street People ministry travels to Philadelphia to feed the hungry at the shelters and on the streets. We grow in our passionate knowledge of God and God's love through traditional Bible study and topical discussions on contemporary issues for adults. The Church School nurtures the faith of our children and youth. Our worship blends our traditional music program known for its excellence with our praise team. Our sacred movement group, bell choir and brass add to our worship experience. We follow Jesus in many ways, seeking to be faithful to his call to service and grateful for the gift of redemption and reconciliation with God. We are thankful we have been called into community and eager to welcome and share with others on our common spiritual journey. The faith we live is the faith we share as we follow the Christ.
