First Muskogee United Methodist Church

My Grandmother Ofie Blanch Estes was a faithful member back in 1941 when I was born in California. From little child baptized in Ventura Ca. only having met her once as we were so far apart. I never forgot her love for Jesus and the Methodist Church. In Ventura Ca. At age 6 My mother sent me and two younger sisters to First Methodist church where I was baptized and went to childrens Sunday school. I gave my promise that I would not partake in alcohol. At age 6.... I remembered that. I am now 82 and keep my promise I made as a little child and after living in many distant places I want to come back to my little childs place of keeping promises and give thanks for the Sunday school teacher that taught me to love Jesus and to keep my promises. I am grateful for her wisdom though she is gone from the earth, I pray that she hears my thanks to her and how much First Methodist Church meant to a little child...
