About Us

We are God's hands in the world!

First Congregational UCC is a Christ-centered, open and inclusive community learning to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love neighbor as self.

As a congregation of the United Church of Christ, we are a community bound together by covenant—a sacred promise to stand by one another and to love each other as sisters and brothers—rather than by shared opinions in every matter of theology and doctrine. In fact, that’s what makes the UCC unique: the conviction that we don’t always have to agree in order to be a vibrant and vital community of faith. What we do agree upon are the basics (learn about those at http://bit.ly/14SmKbb), and we have found that this is enough to gather us into one family as lovers of God and followers of Jesus in this great adventure that the first Christians called “The Way.”

If you’re interested in a slightly different way of doing faith, a way that engages the head, the heart, and the hands in the transformation of self and society, we invite you to get in contact with us or to join us for Sunday worship (10:30am). No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you’re welcome here!
