About Us

No matter who you are, or where you are on life's journey, YOU ARE WELCOME HERE

Our doors are open to all and our welcome is genuine. Our beautiful new location has been dedicated, just as we are dedicated to serving our community.

We are a caring congregation, committed to Christ. We’re inclusive of all-with our minds open, and our hearts as well. Our doors are open to people of every race, age, ability, and orientation.

The United Church of Christ is one of the nation’s most progressive protestant denominations; our church supports a variety of social justice ministries both locally and world-wide.

We are committed. to continuing to provide the Stockton community with a liberal Christian tradition by maintaining a welcoming spirit for all, deliberately connecting to faith
communities different from ours, and honoring the breadth and depth of life experience.

Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month. In keeping with our values, we host an “Open” Communion. This simply means communion it is open to anyone of any faith as well as to those who are questing for faith.

We make a joyful noise with Sunday worship featuring hymns, both traditional and contemporary, choir,
musical guests and frequent congregational musical participation. New Life for us will soon include a
contemporary style worship service. As with all of our programs, you need not be a member to participate.

We feel God has blessed us wonder-fully with this new building but, much more vitally, we believe that the people are the church! Come join us as we strive
to grow in faith and connect to our community. Go online and check us out at www.firstcongregationalstockton.org/

Isn't it time for religion with relevance?

At the United Church of Christ, we're about understanding, and exploration: doing justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God and others.

Our Services

Sunday
10:00am
Our 10:00 a.m. worship service is followed by fellowship in the Lakeside Hall. All are welcome

What to Expect

What are services like?
There is a definite energy to our worship services. Pastor Jeff's enthusiasm is contagious and under the direction of our talented Music Director, Kari Kreiter, we enjoy making a joyful noise through our music, incorporating spirituals, praise songs, contemporary compositions and traditional hymns. Each Sunday, in addition to the sermon, we offer a Children's Message prior to the start of their Church School.

What is the community like?
We are an eclectic blend of people who come together in faith to worship God. The majority of our members individually engage in volunteerism and serve on official boards of the church. Our wish is to increase participation even more.

What if I'm not a Christian?
All are welcome here. If you are exploring your faith, we urge you to visit,

I need your help for 'housing assitance'., my previous rental applications were 'not approved' because of "incorrect credit history" thus the credit repair company said it may be several weeks (3 months) to remove the wronges on the credit report that causes my rental applications not being approved. I am asking this churches social worker to make a few phone calls and ask 'private property owners' to forgive Carl's low credit score …...to secure a 'studio apartment' during the rental process. I am able to afford a studio rental aprox. $900.00 monthly, that's $700.00 max for rent and $200 for utilities., I am not asking your church for money....I earn an amount that is able to pay rent. What I am asking is to contact those 'private property owners' to forgive Carl's credit report and allow the rental application to be approved. Contact Info. Carl Hagen phone; 480-527-1797 email; [email protected] * IN JESUS NAME CARL HAGEN'S CREDIT REPORT IS FORGIVEN AND THE RENTAL APPLICATION TO BE APPROVED------IN JESUS NAME ASKING THE HOLY SPIRIT TO DIRECT THESE PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNERS TO CARL.
