  • Curtis Murdock

    Curtis Murdock
    Worship Leader

    Curtis Murdock began serving as Worship Leader for Traditional Worship in March 2014. He previously served as a full-time Minister of Music in Georgia for 35 years, most recently for 25 years at Beech Haven Baptist Church in Athens. He now works primarily as a manufacturer’s representative for church and school music supplies, and for church furnishings. A native of East Point, Georgia, he is an honor graduate of the University of Alabama, having earned the Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Science in Education (Cum Laude), and Master of Arts (Dean’s Scholar) degrees in music performance and music education. He also attended the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. His denominational involvement includes service as a member of the Executive Committee of the Georgia Baptist Convention and as Vice President of the Georgia Baptist Church Music Conference, as well as many offices in local Baptist Associations. An active participant in Sons of Jubal, the male chorus of Georgia Baptist Music Ministers, he has participated in many international choral and handbell mission trips and has been on the music faculty of three colleges and several summer music camps. He has served an adjudicator for instrumental and choral festivals, and led conferences for and written extensively for publications of the Baptist Sunday School Board (now LifeWay Christian Resources) and The American Guild of English Handbell Ringers (now Handbell Musicians of America). In addition to his choral work, he has a strong instrumental background as a performer and conductor and is widely known as a handbell specialist and consultant. He is married to Georganne Chatham Murdock who is a freelance pianist. They have one son, Winston; daughter-in-law, Anna; grandson, Stephen; and granddaughter, Elisabeth.

  • Alex Boskoff

    Alex Boskoff
    Worship Leader

    Alex has retired from instrumental music education after 34 years and has served in the music ministry of Monroe FBC since 1998. He is a multi-instrumentalist who uses music to educate, inspire, and lead others in worship. He and his wife, Joy, live in Watkinsville with their Staffordshire terrier, Maddie, and Debussy, the cat. Their daughter, Katherine, is the percussionist for the praise band and their son, Ben, is a classical vocalist.

  • Chris Bryan

    Chris Bryan
    Worship Leader

    Chris Bryan is a native of Monroe. He has served as worship leader in the 11:11 service since it started in 2012. His desire is that he and the “Rock of Ages Band” can motivate and inspire others to engage in worship. He lives in Madison Ga with his wife Kelly and his daughter Sara.

  • Royce McNeal

    Royce McNeal
    Minister to Mature Adults

    Royce McNeal is a graduate of Truett-McConnell College, Shorter University, and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He is married to Willene Tanner McNeal, and they are the parents of 4 daughters and grandparents of 5 beautiful grandchildren. Royce has served at FBC since 1998, and is he currently Associate Minister for the Mature Adults. The Mature Adult Ministry involves lots of eating, traveling, and missions activities.

  • Todd Ware

    Todd Ware
    Associate Pastor

    Todd has served First Baptist since the summer of 1998. His family moved to Monroe from Waynesboro, Georgia, where he served for eight years as Minister of Education and Youth at the First Baptist Church. Todd is married to the former Teri Jones. They have three sons: Brandon, Daniel, and Zachary. Teri teaches at Prince Avenue Christian School where Zachary is enrolled. Brandon and his wife Madeline live in Augusta where Brandon teaches middle school science and Madeline is in graduate school. Daniel is a student at Shorter University in Rome, Georgia. Born in Washington, Georgia, Todd is the youngest of three children. He was raised in a Christian home and attended the First Baptist Church of Washington from an early age. He publicly claimed faith in Christ and was baptized at the age of 11. His involvement in the youth ministry of FBC Washington was instrumental in his pursuing ministry as a vocation. Todd and Teri are graduates of Truett-McConnell College (where they met) and Mercer University. They both attended The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary where Todd graduated with his Master of Divinity degree and Teri earned her Master of Religious Education degree. While on staff at FBC Waynesboro, Todd earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Erskine Theological Seminary in Due West, South Carolina. Todd’s passion is to be part of a Christian community that seeks to be authentic followers of Jesus. He loves being Baptist, but treasures reaching out to all who make the good confession that “Jesus is Lord.” His life pursuit is to be consumed by the Kingdom of God in who he is and all he does.

  • Gordon Davidson

    Gordon Davidson
    Student and Family Minister

    Gordon is Minister to Students and Families. He began serving full-time in May 2010. Prior to his arrival here, Gordon served as the Youth Discipleship Consultant for the Georgia Baptist Convention from 1998 to 2009. He served First Baptist Church of Albany, Georgia, from 1991 to 1997 as Minister of Youth and Recreation; First Baptist Church of Enterprise, Alabama, from 1987 to 1991 as Minister of Youth; and First Baptist Church, Jefferson City, Tennessee, from 1983 to 1985 as Minister of Youth. Gordon is a native of East Tennessee. He graduated from Carson-Newman College with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Psychology and from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Religious Education. Gordon is married to the former Karen Proffitt, also from East Tennessee. They are the parents of Emily, who is a high school Language Arts teacher in Madison County, Georgia, and Matt and wife Kathy of Waco, Texas.

  • Shannon Radosevich

    Shannon Radosevich
    Minister to Children

    Shannon Radosevich is Minister to Children and joined the staff in October 2013. Prior to serving at FBC Monroe, she served as the Preschool and Children’s Minister in Gallatin, Tennessee, for five years. Shannon is originally from Georgia, by way of Kentucky and Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University and a Master of Arts in Children’s Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Shannon is married to Jared, who has a BA in Studio Art from Valdosta State University and MA in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jared is pursuing his personal graphic design business. Shannon and Jared have two daughters, Zoe and Claire. Shannon enjoys cooking, reading, and visiting the beach.

  • Darlene Christie

    Darlene Christie
    Director of Preschool Ministries

    Darlene Christie is the Director of Preschool Ministries here at First Baptist Church Monroe. She joined our staff in January 2007. Before coming to Monroe, Darlene served on the preschool staff of First Baptist Snellville for 17 years. Darlene has had extensive experience in leadership, curriculum development, and implementation. Darlene has also held leadership roles in several weekday teachers’ organizations and presented workshops at preschool ministry conferences. Darlene also served as a church secretary in Clayton, Georgia, and has worked in the business world. Her love is to equip teachers to teach God’s love to young children. In the role as Director of Preschool Ministries, Darlene works with the Sunday School teachers, preschool choir teachers, worship volunteers, preschool worship, the preschool mission program, and the Weekday Education Program. Safety and security are high on Darlene’s list of priorities in the Preschool Ministry. Darlene’s husband is Chuck Christie, a chaplain with the Gwinnett Hospital System. Chuck and Darlene have two sons, Matthew and Andrew, and one granddaughter. Matthew and his wife and daughter live in Loganville. Matthew is a Gwinnett County Firefighter/EMT and his wife, Holly, is Assistant Director of After School Care at Cannon United Methodist. Andrew and his wife, Kristen, live in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Andrew is a coach at Methodist University, and Kristen works for Second Harvest Food Bank.

  • Glen Money

    Glen Money
    Senior Pastor

    Since 1997, Dr. Glen Money has loved and led FBC through a strong season of healthy growth and transition. Before becoming our senior pastor, he was the associate pastor of FBC Albany, Georgia, and staff chaplain at Athens Regional Medical Center. In earlier years, he served churches in Indiana, Missouri, and Florida. A native of North Florida, he is a graduate of Florida State University, and he earned his Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary in Louisville. Pastor Glen has done postgraduate work at Valdosta State and Emory University, and he holds a doctorate from Princeton Theological Seminary. Glen is a storyteller who likes to camp out at the intersection of real truth and real life. He sees the church as a community of regular folks who choose to come together to grow, serve, and belong as we worship, experience, and follow Christ. Glen’s wife, Lisa, of Ocala, Florida, is a well-known and respected personal trainer, following a twenty-year career in nursing. The Moneys have two sons, both married to teachers. Thad and Brittany live in Clermont, Florida, with their granddaughters, Morgan and Madison. Jordan and Anna live in Thomasville, Georgia, with their grand-dog, Chief. Glen loves golf, music, sports (Go ‘Noles, Dawgs, and Braves), travel, and food; he flies planes and plays the guitar and other instruments less well. The Moneys live in Alcovy Lakes with their beloved lab, Dexter, and Hank, the three-legged cat.
