    Durwin Kicker

Pastor Durwin Kicker has been with Marshfield First Baptist since January 1995. He originally came on staff as Minister of Youth and Education. In October 1997 the church called him to become the senior pastor. He is a southerner at heart, growing up in north Alabama, and is a Crimson Tide fan! Durwin gave his heart to Jesus at age eight. At age 17 he answered God’s call into ministry and began preparing for vocational service. He is a 1985 graduate of Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri and in 1989 earned his Master of Arts in Religious Education from Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. Durwin’s wife, Kim, is very involved in our music ministry and is an elementary music teacher in our Marshfield school district. They have two adult children, Anna and her husband, Isaac, and Kyle and his wife, Kimberly. Pastor Durwin says, “I love Marshfield and Marshfield First Baptist! This is a church family that genuinely strives to honor the Lord and reach our city, state, nation and world with the Good News of Jesus. God is continually teaching me so much as we try to lead our church and follow God’s desires for us. My greatest desire as a pastor is to be effective in leading people to worship the Lord, continually grow in their spiritual lives and serve God with the gifts He has given them.” Follow Pastor Durwin's blog at www.durwinkicker.com.
