Dr. WA Criswell authorized Dr. Luis Pantoja and Pastor Kim L.Hobson of First Baptist Church of Dallas to plant its first Filipino American Baptist Church in 1989. The church evolved and flourished. In time, Pastor Diwa became sole Pastor after Dr. Pantoja left to serve as Pastor in Manila and Pastor Kim L.Hobson continued serving as Inner City Pastor to the underprivileged .
