Faith Lutheran Church

About Us

Faith Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

We gather for worship at 10:10 on Sunday mornings, celebrating Holy Communion on the first, third, and fifth Sundays of each month. The adult Sunday school class meets at 9 AM every Sunday. Sunday school classes for children and youth meet at 9 AM on most Sundays during the school year.

The mission of our congregation is to gather in fellowship to learn and share God's Word, while providing a place to administer the Sacraments, and to better prepare us to serve the Lord through Evangelism, Social Ministry, and Benevolence.

Our Services

What to Expect

What are services like?
We gather with songs, prayers, chants and litanies, hear the Word of God proclaimed through Scripture and preaching (including a children's sermon), profess our faith using the Apostles' or Nicene Creed, share God's gifts to us through an offering, receive Christ's body and blood through bread and cup, and are sent into the world to proclaim God's love to all through word and action. We use the Lutheran Book of Worship (Settings 1 and 2) plus hymns and songs from a wide range of sources. We celebrate Holy Communion on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday of each month, plus festivals. All baptized Christians are welcome at the table; young children not yet receiving communion receive a blessing. During Lent and Advent, we use Holden Evening Prayer for worship on Wednesday evenings.

What is the community like?
We like to eat together! We host a community potluck on the 4th Monday of the month, a family game night potluck on the 1st Friday of the month, cake and coffee on the 3rd Sunday of the month, and several annual dinners. We collect food for a local shelter/food pantry year-round, and each month we emphasize a different outreach project, collecting money or items for those in need or serving in the community. 6th-12th graders are welcome to participate in our FLY4Christ youth group. Our Women of the ELCA group meets monthly for fellowship and study. Our Quilting Group meets once a month. Besides Sunday school, Confirmation class and book studies are other opportunities for Christian education and faith formation. We collaborate with Deer Creek Presbyterian Church for Vacation Bible School, Easter Sunrise worship, and Thanksgiving worship.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Come worship with us! Come eat with us! Come serve with us! We want to get to know you and walk with you on your faith journey.
